Many of you attain a level where you realize sarcasm is no longer an option. At this point, sarcasm is like a gun; if you use it on someone you kill something or at the very least, hide behind it to vent rage and/or resentment. What you kill with sarcasm could have been the door to productive decisiveness, trust and/or authenticity. Sarcasm prevents authentic responses. It is a covert form of hostility deemed harmless because of its pervasiveness and use as a catalyst for humor.
