Poem, Compounded Interest, 3-18-12

Needing more energy
Than what I have now
Wanting to drink
Coffee often and now

Slated to irradiate
Progress obtained
Hesitate wondering
If caffeine would inflame

Hesitate because
Morning is fresh
Hesitate because
Gain is bereft

I can't pay back
What I will then lose
Compounding interest
On Borrowed life juice

Energy is neither
Created nor destroyed
The milk of my adrenals
I shall not employ.
