The Goddess of Tobacco

The Goddess of Tobacco

Appeared in my thoughts

As I looked in awe at her abundant clutch*

Presented in format as alter and nest

Offering pleasure, deep breaths and deep rest

A luxurious reset; releasing stuck thoughts

Reminding my body to breathe in, once lost

An authentic connection to grounding and strength

A sumptuous ritual of being and bliss

She demanded I comply with her smoke and sweet spice

I overcame fear and exclaimed, "this is nice!"

-Eve Featherstone

Author's note: I don't smoke, but like many plants, the Goddess of Tobacco reached out to reset my body's rhythms and grounding.  The ability to have an authentic deep relaxed breath is hard to fake when you don't really feel it.  I really felt this and needed it.  A large enticing humidor (alter) was all it took.  Most plants don't have alters built for them like this.  There's a reason.  I chose a dark wrapper from a reputable company known for purity and integrity.
