Grief is a Tsunami

Grief is a tsunami which occurs after an earthquake in the emotional "body of water" (emotions).

After the initial shock, there are aftershocks and then waves of grief reaching the physical body which isn't accustomed to being flooded with the illogical and primal reactions sent from "another world" (emotions).

To the physical body it feels like drowning at times.  There is damage where the waves repeatedly dash against the outer, regular life as it tries to go on and progress past this disaster. 

One has no choice but to feel each wave, release it in all its fury and feel it subside as a soothing medicine for the wounded heart.
