Poem, I Heard the Serpent Saying, Eve Featherstone

I heard the serpent saying
She wanted to be heard
I heard the flowers praying
For birds to eat the worms
I saw the water waiting
Right before it dripped
I rode along parading
Spring and gentle breeze
The raven pushed through swaying
Palm fronds to her nest
The swallows flurry graceful
All's awake and not at rest.
