Poem, Double Standards, Eve Featherstone

Double standards play a part
In stress and hesitation
Justice lacks about as much
As altruistic* confrontation

Professionals exploiting this
Regarded high with fascination
Yet judging always in a play
Of greed not extrication**

When money motivates you all
Anxiety sets in
For each of you is well aware
Double standards could just win.

--EVE Featherstone

*altruistic - showing unselfish concern for the welfare of others.

**Extrication - 1. To release from an entanglement or difficulty; disengage. 2. Archaic To distinguish from something related.
