The fig tree grows to bear its fruit
At arms reach hands grab ready loot
The tree grows larger, wilder, tall
It seeks the light and then sees all
The fig tree bears more fruit on high
Not within reach to any nigh*
This higher fruit its natural crown
Makes the tree looked up to now
The tree knows not a day with lack
It provides shade, abundance back
To ground it reaches further deep
It is a balance we should seek.
