From the Devil's Point of View

From the Devil's point of view
You'll end up back at start
From the Devil's point of view
It isn't light until it's dark

Sitting on the curb of streets
Is really where it's at
Gliding by on wheels of air
Leaves you feeling flat

The view from low is interesting
You know just where you are
No guessing or unknowing thoughts
You're an animal not a car

From the Devil's point of view
You're shrinking day by day
He witnesses the broken dream
Reducing you to fray

The ratio of creation
Is reduced to lowest form
Counting on the bottom line
The elements are shown

Starting over bothersome?
Failure after storm?
From the Devil's point of view
This is just the norm.

-EVE Featherstone

*fray - noun - a situation of intense activity, typically one incorporating an element of aggression or competition.
